Conscious design and a new approach for packaging materials: caps 100% biobased spirits caps, features, and state of the art

Lack of wood capsule availability and single use plastic becoming a problem but a new material for capsules that uses a bio plastic and cork dust is now available.

Bloom by Talis Consciously designed

Bloom by Talis perfectly embodies the ethical and conscious design vision of Cork Supply, which has conceived and designed a new packaging material through sustainable innovations.

This new material for T bar stoppers, used for spirits, liqueurs and fortified wines, is made with a bio-based polymer coupled with fine cork granules.

By combining renewable and biodegradable materials, Bloom not only promotes environmental sustainability but at the same time guarantees economic sustainability.

Developed in collaboration with the 3bS Research Group and the Católica University, Bloom highlights how academic knowledge combined with industry experience can lead to the creation of more eco-friendly, high-quality solutions that meet the needs of the modern market.

Bloom serves as a highly customisable sensory interactive platform, in terms of aromas, colours, fluorescences, textures and dimensions.

The infinite customisations possible enable Talis customers to offer unique experiences to their end consumers.

By replacing traditional packaging materials such as wood, glass or plastic with this innovative material of biological origin, Bloom has demonstrated that conscious design and sustainability can combine and coexist.

Bloom responds to the needs of the contemporary consumer in terms of eco-sustainability without compromising quality and cost-effectiveness, an ideal solution for those who are attentive to the environmental impact of their products and packaging.
