SWR: Which are the technologies now, or in the future, which will be vital in making wine truly sustainable?

Tuesday 15th November
3.00 p.m. - Conference Room hall 2

The Sustainable Wine Roundtable (SWR) is a unique coalition – the only global, independent roundtable to include all stakeholders in the wine sector. Working together, we will define sustainable wine in practical detail and develop a global sustainability reference standard.

Vineyards and wineries globally are now seeking to reduce their Greenhouse Gas (GHG) impacts. One key factor, alongside packaging and distribution channels, is to consider how technologies in the vineyard and winery will look in the future. This panel will discuss the options available for vineyards and wineries in terms of technologies, their costs, and their potential impact. The panel will also consider the use of technology alongside sustainable agriculture practices which seek to reduce impacts.
