Energy self-sufficiency in liquid food: utopia or reality?
Energy self-sufficiency plans and experiences in the sector and in Italian companies
The aim of the conference is to identify what solutions are available to companies in beverage chains today to reduce consumption, and consequently energy bills, and to simultaneously transform at least a part of current expenses into investments.
While it is assumed that there are no immediate solutions to the energy problem, the intention is to frame the market environment and regulatory aspects to allow companies to embark on a path towards energy independence.
The following will therefore be discussed:
- the issues relating to the national and international regulatory framework that are promoting decarbonisation and, therefore, the desired self-sufficiency in terms of energy both at the macroeconomic level, and therefore as a country, and at a microeconomic level, as individual companies;
- the different technological solutions and services available on the market for the progressive reduction of companies' energy bills.
Finally, some case histories will be presented with wine, mineral water and beverage companies bringing, based on their experience, an analysis of the reduction of actual and potential consumption profiles.
